EMAC Partners
Academic partners
In terms of academic networks, the School is ideally placed at
the intersection of:
a regional circle, containing several networks that the School actively participates in:
EMAC is a founder member of the MIDIGEP network (essentially comprising ENSIACET, UPS, the GPI department at the Toulouse INSA, ENSGTI at Pau and EMAC). One of MIDIGEP's key achievements is the Inter-University Process Engineering Workshop, to which EMAC was one of the main contributors. We are also working on a program of bilateral exchanges for final year students with other establishments in the MIDIGEP network (as well as, in a field related to process engineering, ENSEEIHT for its specialist hydraulics activities). Furthermore, EMAC is also host to a professor from the INP-ENSIACET who is undertaking research as CROMEP.
The creation of a new option, Materials for Aeronautics and Aerospace, was possible thanks to an extremely close relationship and partnership with Toulouse-based aerospace schools (Sup’Aéro and ENSICA), and has resulted in EMAC joining the network of aerospace training providers operating in the Toulouse region.
At the more local level, EMAC is also an active member of CREDIGE, the Pôle Universitaire de Toulouse and CRIVA (the Inter-School Regional Center for Experience Validation).
a national circle, the Groupe des Ecoles des Mines:
There is a strong culture shared with other ENSTIM schools (Alès, Douai, Nantes), which is obviously a key asset; but the so-called G7 network of all Ecoles des Mines (the aforementioned plus Paris, Saint-Etienne and Nancy) has become increasingly important in recent years, and its presence is felt today through programs that relate directly to training, the Ecoles des Mines International Action Plan (PAIGEM), and the Grande Ecole Virtuelle (GEV).
The G7 schools have recently developed a volunteer-based program of final year student exchanges (option).
a circle of international partners:
As a member of GEM, the Ecole des Mines d'Albi-Carmaux has signed partnership conventions with a variety of overseas institutions intended to promote mutual student exchanges within specific specialties (Majors) at the Bachelor of Science level, aiming to award their respective diplomas at the end of a 2-year graduate cycle.
